Prof. MD Catarina De Carolis
After receiving her master’s degree with honors and award in Medicine and Surgery in 1981, Caterina De Carolis received the title of Specialist in Paediatrics as well as in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the University of Rome. Furthermore, she archived additional master degrees in Economy and Management and Sophrology and Stress. She became a tutor teacher at a school specialized in Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Rome and a teacher for Obstetrics at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart. She has received various awards, such as Cenci Bolognetti Foundation (1982) or Minerva “To the science” (2006) and IFIACI (2014). She was the director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at San Giovanni Addolorata Hospital in Rome until July 2015. In addition, she is the president of the Italian association A.S.R. ONLUS, which performs research and takes care of patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion. She is involved in national and international research and clinical trials in Italy, the UK and Israel. Her clinical and scientific work focuses on reproductive autoimmune diseases, particularly the relationship between recurrent and spontaneous abortion and immunological infertility.
