Prof. Dr. Hortense Slevogt...

 

... received her doctoral degree in human medicine at the Freie Universität (FU) Berlin in 1996. From 1993 to 2001, she did her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. After obtaining her Diploma from Bernhard-Nocht Institut in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in 1998, she received a clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Pulmonary Medicine. In 2003, she has become a board certified specialist in internal medicine as well as in infectious diseases in 2005. After habilitating in 2009 and becoming a guest scientist at the Institute of Microbiology and Hygiene at Charité Berlin, she earned her W2-professorship in „Immunology of severe infections“ at the University Hospital Jena and established the research group „Host Septomics“. Since 2015, she is a board member of the “Center for Sepsis Control & Care“ (CSCC).
